RAPID LIFE project launches aquatic invasive alien species film

29 June 2018

RAPID LIFE is a three-year project (2017-2020) piloting innovative approaches to invasive alien species (IAS) management in freshwater aquatic, riparian and coastal environments across England.

The aim of the project is to protect freshwater aquatic, riparian and coastal biodiversity by embedding a coordinated, strategic and evidence-based approach to managing invasive alien species (IAS) across England whilst demonstrating the efficacy of this approach for replication across Europe.

The Centre for Marine Biofouling and Corrosion has collaborated with C2W and the MBA on various BioSecurity projects in the south-west. Following a successful workshop last year where all major stakeholders congregated at PML, the final Tamar Estuaries BioSecurity Plan is just about to be made public.
