Dr Shauna Ward-Corr

PML Applications’ Dr Shauna Ward-Corr is an Applied Marine Scientist, primarily for the Centre for Environmental Solutions, whose work centres on understanding and monitoring change in marine ecosystems using molecular and data-driven approaches. She specialises in environmental DNA (eDNA), microbial ecology, and bioinformatic analysis for ecosystem monitoring. Her approach to environmental science combines fundamental science and practical environmental decision-making.

Shauna’s academic achievements include a PhD analysing host–microbe interactions in marine systems, examining how environmental change influences seaweed-associated microbial communities.
