"Canadian-based Planetary Technologies is a world leader in the research and development of Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement, an ocean-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR) strategy receiving significant UK and international attention as a potentially important climate change mitigation strategy. As part of this R&D effort, Planetary teamed up with PML Applications in early 2022 to investigate the viability of this approach in an area off the Cornish coast. The PML Applications team, led by Tim Fileman and Sam Fawcett, and including lead biogeochemist Vassilis Kitidis, have facilitated exceptional progress in these efforts. The PML Applications team has provided a remarkably wide range of services, including laboratory analyses, extensive permit applications, and custom hardware engineering. Given the complex, timely, and unique nature of this work, the consistent responsiveness, flexibility, and hard-work of this team has been essential to our success. Our achievements thus far have led to rapid growth in Planetary’s UK scope, and our collaboration with PML Applications will continue to be a foundational component of this work. I look forward to continuing our work with Tim, Sam, and their team, as they are exceptionally professional, refreshingly amicable, and above all, have shown to deliver on their contracts."
