Sam is the Manager of the PML Applications’ Centre for Coastal Technologies. He is an expert in marine licensing, a trained molecular biologist and applied scientist. With experience providing support and specialist consultation across a diverse range of sectors, from defence to ocean carbon dioxide removal. Sam is a Board member of 'SMIFutures' of the Society of Maritime Industries (SMI).
His wealth of experience involves engaging with various key stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner to a high standard. Sam's recent work in leading the PML applications team for the first trial of ocean alkalinity enhancement has been published in Nature Communications – Earth and Environment, providing insight into the viability of ocean alkalinity enhancement as a method for global carbon dioxide removal.
