Corrosion Monitoring
Corrosion monitoring uses methods like OCP and EIS to provide time series data on asset corrosion.

Corrosion monitoring allows our clients to both increase their understanding of the corrosion in their assets at a specific location and to assess the effectiveness of any corrosion prevention techniques that they employ. Our surveys measure the corrosion rates either in real time or using various techniques and tools such as open circuit potential (OCP) monitoring, EIS monitoring and the weight-loss technique. The results of these enable us to create an accurate time series of corrosion rate results.
Our corrosion monitoring approaches include:
- Field-based or laboratory-based corrosion tests of similar or “twinned” systems
- In-situ field-based corrosion monitoring
- In-situ testing of corrosion protection systems
